  1. Choose Reset Entry IDs from the Entry menu to reset the Entry ID number for all entries.  (In a new file, the Entry ID number indicates the order in which entries were added.  Once you reset it, it indicates the position of the entry in the file.)

  3. For example, suppose you have selected Last Name from the Sort submenu to alphabetize entries by last name.  When you select Reset Entry IDs, Address Book Plus resets the Entry ID value for each entry according to its new position in the rearranged list.
